Respiratory diseases are among the leading causes of fatalities in the world, claiming 4 million victims every year. However, many cases can be treated if diagnosed and treated early.
Inspire's mission is to cure all respiratory disease, by providing individuals with an accurate diagnosis and locally available treatment.
Inspire is designed to serve developing regions, to bridge global disparities in healthcare.
Inspire listens to a person's breathing sounds, and accurately diagnoses respiratory conditions within seconds. This is thanks to Inspire's automated machine learning pipeline, and a diverse database of medical recordings.
Inspire can be operated by using a mobile app designed for both Android and iOS. The app also accomodates users from all backgrounds by incorporating live audio instructions, descriptive images and intuitive instructions.
The Inspire app also uses geolocation to recommend local treatment options.
Inspire costs 2000x less than a MRI machine, and aims to lower the operating cost to just 1 cent per patient. Inspire's low cost is thanks to its usage of 3D-printed parts and lightweigh software.
